Notice: New travel restrictions due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), effective 00:00 GMT, 25 March 2020
In light of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) 11 March 2020 declaration that the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) is a global pandemic, and further to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s travel notice of 18 March 2020, the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain announces the additional measures with effect from 00:00 GMT, 25 March 2020.
The issuance of visas on arrival for all nationalities is suspended until further notice. Furthermore:
1.Entry is restricted to Bahraini citizens, residents, diplomats, passengers with Prior Permission Granted letter (PPG), military personnel, airline crew or holders of official, service, or UN passports. All other passengers will be denied entry to the Kingdom.
2.Any citizen, resident, diplomat, PPG passenger, military personnel, airline crew or official, service or UN passport holder who has travelled to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Iraq or the Lebanese Republic in the 14 days preceding their arrival in the Kingdom will immediately be taken to undergo enhanced testing procedures as a preventative measure for coronavirus (COVID-19) and will be subject to quarantine.
3.Any citizen, resident, diplomat, PPG passenger, military personnel, airline crew or holder of an official, service or UN passport arriving from any other country will be taken to undergo enhanced testing procedures as a preventative measure for coronavirus (COVID-19) and self-isolation for a period of 14 days.
